Glider Flights – The Purest Form of Flight

With no engine noise, just the sound of the air rushing past, gliding is flight in its most exhilarating and graceful form. Launched by a powered aircraft and released at altitude, you’ll drift effortlessly on the thermals, taking in panoramic views of Dorset’s landscapes, historic landmarks, and shimmering coastline.

Classic Glider Flight – £195

Launched by Aerotow and released at 3,000 feet, you can expect breathtaking views of Poole Harbour, Monkey World, and the Bovington Tank Museum. Flight duration: approximately 20-25 minutes (weather dependent)

Jurassic Coast Glider Flight – £260

Launched by Aerotow and released at 4,000 feet over the Jurassic Coast. Experience unrivaled aerial views of Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, and Corfe Castle, with stunning vistas stretching towards Weymouth, Portland, Poole Harbour, and Bournemouth. Followed by scenic flight back across the countryside, passing over Lulworth Castle, Wool, Monkey World, and the Bovington Tank Museum. Flight duration: approximately 30 minutes (weather dependent).

Each flight is unique, shaped by the wind and weather conditions on the day.

💡 Passenger Information: You will be fully briefed before takeoff.

Passengers must be between 5ft and 6ft 4in, and weigh no more than 16 stone (102kg). Due to cockpit dimensions, a parachute must be worn, and ladies are advised to wear trousers for comfort. Parental approval is required for passengers under 18.

Super Cub Powered Flight – £220

For those seeking a more dynamic flying experience, take to the skies in our Piper Super Cub, a classic two-seater aircraft offering an extraordinary 30-minute flight along Dorset’s dramatic coastline.

Fly over Wareham, Swanage, and Corfe Castle before sweeping along the Jurassic Coast and soar past Old Harry Rocks, Lulworth Cove, and Durdle Door, all the way to Weymouth.

💡 Passenger Information: The maximum weight limit is 16 stone (102kg), and you must be able to climb into the aircraft’s rear seat.

The Dorset Gliding Club offers a comfortable Club House with tea, coffee, and restroom facilities, though we recommend:
